This page provides access to the 'On This Day' posts from the 'Walk In The Past' facebook page. The links take you to the Facebok post, but you shouldn't need a Facebook account to access them.
There are two ways to find the posts, a Calendar so you can select a particular day, and a aimple subject index.
For the Calendar click on the image for the appropriate month then, on that months page, click on the date you require.
A list of the posts for that date will appear. Select whichever post your are interested in and it will open in a new window.
There are navigation buttons on the top of the calendar page to move backwards and forwards between dates and months. The Home Button will take you back to the 'months' page.

The subject search allows you to select up to 4 terms, and results will be entries that have all the selected terms assigned.
Be careful of selcting just a single general term, eg 'England'. Add additional terms to narrow the focus.
Hovering over a subject term will display a tooltip with any notes on the scope of that term, eg 'Arts' will show 'includes literature'.
Click on an entry in the results list to open the post in a new window.
